Webtop 5.3 SP2 LoadRunner User Scripts
Contributed by Chase Harris from the Performance Group
The Webtop multi-user test script kit is a sample suite of Mercury LoadRunner user scripts designed to simulate users performing operations against an out-of-the-box installation of Webtop 5.3 SP2. The test script kit simulates various user actions in the Classic mode of Webtop. The same URLS issued by "real" users are sent to the application/WDK server and the responses are parsed or processed to validate results and/or provide additional actions. The actions are all designed to be modular, to allow the tests to be randomized and reordered as needed.

Enable a SBO as a Web Service and Consume it from a .NET Client
DFC 5.3 introduced the web services framework that allows a developer to expose a Service-based Business Object(SBO) as a web service. This article walks you through the process of enabling a SBO as a web service and then consuming it from a .NET client.

Access Binary Content of a Document from .NET
The DFC method IDfSysObject#getContent() cannot be used from .NET because this method returns a Java-specific object that cannot be translated to .NET. This article looks at using a Service-based Business Object(SBO) to overcome this and access the binary content from .NET.

Updates

Repository Interrogation Utility (RepoInt)
The Repository Interrogation Utility allows a user to navigate repositories, perform a properties dump, view the type tree of a repository and run DQL or xDQL queries. The utility now includes some additional features such as integration with the 'Object Reference Manual', a listing of SBOs and detection of registered TBOs. The utlity is available as both a standalone application and an Eclipse plugin. The standalone application can be used without the need to know or install the whole Eclipse IDE.

UPDATES

  • Added a new API view to execute Documentum API commands.
  • The Repository Type View that used to show the object types in the repository has been modified to show additional data. The view now has special nodes for the following types of objects - dm_policy, dm_process, dm_method, dm_job, dm_format, dmc_module(TBOs, SBOs and other custom modules), XML applications and DocApps. Please see the section on Type View for more details.
  • For more updates please read the 'Updates' section of the Repoint article.

Deep Export SBO
Developers often have a need to export a Docbase folder including its subfolders and content to the file system. Since this functionality is a common requirement for several client applications, we wrapped it in a service-based business object, (SBO) so that it can be called easily cross-platform and cross-application. This SBO performs an export of a Docbase folder with its internal structure and content to the file system. The folder structure can contain virtual documents as well as simple documents and sub-folders.
UPDATED to fix some bugs.
