Monday, November 13th - Off Site Event at the Exploratorium

Join us on Monday, November 13th for a trip to the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco. A scientist’s dream, this expansive and unique museum will give you a chance to experience the Great San Francisco Earthquake; explore the science behind our favorite sports; discover how researchers study climate changes; learn about biodiversity; and see and touch hundreds of hands-on exhibits. We will enjoy a wonderful International dinner with plenty of drink and refreshment to go around.

The Exploratorium is an experimental, hands-on museum designed to spark curiosity regardless of your age or familiarity with science. With hundreds of exhibits to touch, look through, pick up, and tinker with, let curiosity be your compass to endless discoveries! Explore Traits of Life, the life sciences collection, which includes exhibits, artworks, demonstrations, films and the new Microscope Imaging Station. Seeing is believing. Or is it? Find out in "Seeing," a major renovation of one of the core collections. Learn how we see, how we interpret what we see, and how culture and environment influence what we see. Discover the unseen world of the Tactile Dome—an interactive excursion through total darkness, where your sense of touch becomes your only guide. Check out the Exhibit Cam, or point the Roof Cam at the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, or the San Francisco neighborhood views. Take a look at a map of the museum floor.

Tuesday, November 14th – A Night on the Town

After a casual dinner at the hotel, all EMC Software Developer Conference attendees will receive a Night on the Town packet, filled with admission tickets and discounts to several San Francisco attractions. The packet will also provide an easy to follow map and a list of recommended nighttime venues. Many wonderful evening venues are located within walking distance of our hotel. Taxi cabs are also readily available.

Wednesday, November 15th – Dinner at the Argent Hotel

On Wednesday night, we will enjoy fine San Francisco cuisine, prepared by the Executive Chef from our conference site, the Argent Hotel. This evening will provide the opportunity to network, relax and enjoy some entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there.
