EDN Points System

The Developer Points System will be used to reward you, the developer, for your community involvement. The Developer Network will award points for activities directly affecting the site or indirectly affecting the EMC Development Community development. Earning points is easy and everyone is encouraged to participate. To start earning points, register now!

The Developer Points system is easy to understand. Developer points are awarded to EMC Developer Network members for their involvement with the EMC development community.

General Points

200   EMC Software Developer Conference Attendance
600   EMC Software Developer Conference Speaker
1000   Starting a blog
300   Every update to a blog

Content Submission Points

700   Snippet, Code Sample, or Tip
700   Customization Sample with Article
1000   Component with Documentation
100   Project
100   Bug Submission
50/300   Content Idea
(50 initial and 300 upon acceptance)

Developer Challenge Points

50   Signing up for a developer challenge
500   Submitting an entry for a developer challenge
2500   Winning a developer challenge (challenge dependent)

Discussion Forum Points

1   Posting of a comment/message
6   Helpful answer
10   Corrent answer

Collaborative Project Points

1000   Starting a project
500   Successive Major Build (Update)
100   Feature Request
100   Bug Submission
150   Submitting a solution to a bug(not necessarily include code)
500   Patch Submission

Developer Status Levels

Level 5 Level 5: 50000 - 99999 points
Level 4 Level 4: 8000 - 49999 points
Level 3 Level 3: 1000 - 7999 points
Level 2 Level 2: 150 - 999 points
Level 1 Level 1: 20 - 149 points
